ABOUT US
Hi! Thanks for visiting the site and for taking a few minutes to get to know us! My name is Alexandra and I am a very lucky mommy of three wonderful children! We have twins, Lucas and Olivia who have been very patient models for mommy's website! And we recently welcomed our son Victor to the family! Victor has already sported some Sassytees, even though he is only 2 weeks old as I write this. I also have a wonderful husband, Ted who has been a great support in getting Sassytees up and running. Sassytees came into existence after many months of just not finding the right shirts and onesies for our little models! Here's a little bit about some of our lines and how they came to be......
We understand how GREAT it is and what a celebration it can be when babies in the NICU reach each of their milestones. Each one brings them closer to coming home! One of those milestones for us was finally getting to put some clothes on our babies! As silly as it sounds, it was a big day! How great would it have been to have a bodysuit (onesie) from our preemie line! Our son's and daughter's experiences and milestones, not to mention their strength and amazing bravery was the inspiration for this line. It was not easy to find tees that were soft enough and high quality enough for these brave little guys! Not many wholesale companies make this size and I have yet to find any that are not white. Hopefully more colors will come soon! Anyway, you can rest assured that these tees are very soft and comfy. After all, these little guys don't need scratchy, rough clothes on their very delicate skin!
Well, it's pretty obvious how this line came to Sassytees, since I'm a proud mommy of twins! I can't tell you how many times I am stopped by friendly on-lookers and asked millions of questions about the kids. Whether it's the popular, "are they twins? " or the question that almost always follows, "are they identical?" I can never get any shopping done in time without getting to know everyone in the store! I can't imagine what it is like for moms of triplets and quads!
Well, as much as it is the world I live in, there are many more families out there that do not have preemies or multiples in their lives! And they should not be excluded from looking super stylish in a Sassytee! Here you can find shirts that any baby can wear, with cute and sometimes sassy slogans!! Just like the rest of our tees, these are super soft and 100% cotton for your super cute and sassy cutie patootie!
This is a really fun line to make. Before the website was up and running, most the orders created were for family and friends and most were custom designed. I've added names to shirts, changed font colors etc. I have also taken orders that required thinking of a whole new tee, which is how custom tees came to mind. Lots of people wanted a tee unique for them. You can check out some of the ones we have made on the Custom Tees page. This is an easy process, so don't worry about not knowing how to think of your own shirt. Just give us an idea of what you want and we will go from there! We will send you an email with a picture of the graphic that would be pressed on the shirt for your approval. If you like what you see, the shirt is made and sent to you! It's that easy!
Thank you very much for visiting our site! I hope you like what you see and honor us with ordering a Sassytee!
The other "multiples" moms I know and I have joked that we wished there were shirts out there that answered these questions. Well... here they are! So that is what inspired most of the tees in the multiples line. The first time I took Olivia out in the "yes, we are twins and no we are not identical" shirt... I laughed right along with all the people who stopped to read.
This line is very special to us because Lucas and Olivia are preemies. Born at 28 weeks, (three months early) and just under 2.5 pounds. The picture at the top of this page is of Lucas holding onto his daddy's finger on the day he was born. This is one of my favorite pictures and it was taken by one of our wonderful nurses, Jane Raabes.
